Release of XPFlightPlanner version 4.1.0
We are happy to announce the release of XPFlightPlanner version 4.1.0! This new update comes packed with exciting features and bug fixes that we’re sure you’ll love.
One of the most significant new features in this update is the introduction of plane performance with 18 plane presets ; all planes that are included in X-Plane 12 by default and other mythic aircraft such as Boeing 777-300ER, Airbus A380… Now, you can easily select the aircraft you’re flying, start the flight plan generator and have the performance settings automatically set up for you. You can now export your flight plan as a navlog or a simbrief to PDF, or copy it to the clipboard as a list of waypoints.
We’ve also added new custom COORD points, allowing you to create a new point based on its coordinates with just a double-click on the map. In the case you did not used the automatic route generator but edited you flight plan manually, there’s a new function that adjusts automatically altitudes and speeds, making it easier than ever to plan your flights.
XPFlightPlanner version 4.1.0 also comes with some great improvements to the user interface, including a new Light theme in contrast to the previous Dark theme. Maps are also improved with fine-tuned graphics for each themes, and route waypoints are always visible even when map is unzoomed.
But that’s not all. XPFlightPlanner is now compatible with Navigraph AIRAC cycle 2024. This new version also includes a full-screen mode, and displays pro tips that provides you with useful tips at startup.
Finally, we’ve fixed some pesky bugs, including floating point input bug for mach speed, True Air Speed (TAS) computation from IAS is now fixed, and columns size are more balanced in the flight plan table.
XPFlightPlanner version 4.1.0 is now available for download, and you can even find it in the Microsoft Store. And the best part? This major upgrade is free for all version 4.x customers. We hope you enjoy using this new version as much as we enjoyed creating it!
